Juneau, AK, July 16, 2004 -- Kathleen Vilandre and Deana Hale will
join the Board of Directors of the United Way of Southeast Alaska
this month, filling two vacant positions. With the two additions,
the board includes 11 directors.
Kathleen Vilandre has accepted a dual role with the United Way.
In addition to her three-year term as a director, she has agreed to
serve as this year's United Way Campaign Vice-Chair. Vilandre
manages the Juneau branch of Wells Fargo Bank where, for the past
two years, she has managed the Wells Fargo United Way Campaign for
Southeast Alaska. Before joining Wells Fargo in 2000, she was
employed at Shattuck & Grummett as an insurance agent. "It's
exciting to see the growth of community giving through our workplace
campaigns," Vilandre said.
Deana Hale brings professional expertise in the fields of public
relations, marketing, advertising and management to her three-year
term with the United Way. In 2003, Hale moved to Juneau from Monroe,
GA. She also serves on the board of the Juneau Arts and Humanities
Council. Most recently, she was the advertising manager for The
Walton Tribune, in Monroe. An active volunteer since 1991, she
is a past-president of the Monroe Business Association, and has
chaired committees for organizations such as the March of Dimes,
American Cancer Society, and the Walton County Chamber of Commerce.
"My involvement with the United Way will allow me to learn about and
support the broad range of human services in Southeast Alaska," Hale
said. |
