Building Inclusive Communities and Organization: From Awareness to Action

Course Description:

What does it mean to have an inclusive community or organization?  Why does this matter? What gets in the way of people working effectively together? How do we better understand ourselves while respecting and appreciating others? The challenge for today’s leaders is to figure out how we best work with change and diversity.  This interactive and engaging session with provide an opportunity for participants to really spend time getting clear about who they are and how that impacts and informs their relationships with others.

Learning Outcomes:

  • To understand the basis for creating an inclusive learning community and organization.
  • To understand the role that one’s identities, cultural and world views play on their interactions with others
  • To increase participants ability to recognize the lens that they are operating from.
  • To provide participant an opportunity to decide next steps for continued growth.
