Dear Colleague,

I am honored to serve as Chair for this year’s United Way Annual Giving Campaign of Southeast Alaska. Having lived in Southeast Alaska for more than a decade, I have seen our region grow and change — and I’ve also seen the strength, resilience, and compassion that make this community so special. As a business owner and long-time contributor to many local organizations, I know that when we come together, we can accomplish extraordinary things.

United Way of Southeast Alaska plays a vital role in strengthening our communities. Through partnerships with dozens of local nonprofit agencies, United Way supports programs that provide emergency assistance, food security, housing stability, early childhood education, mental health services, and workforce development. These efforts not only help families meet their basic needs today but also create long-term pathways to independence and success.

This year’s campaign places special focus on disaster relief and homelessness prevention. As severe weather events and economic hardships continue to affect families across our region, United Way’s coordinated response ensures that help is available quickly and effectively. From funding local shelters and providing rental assistance to connecting individuals with counseling and employment resources, United Way is there — helping people rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

Your donation to United Way of Southeast Alaska stays right here in our communities, supporting our neighbors, coworkers, and friends. Every dollar makes a meaningful difference and helps ensure that Southeast Alaska remains a strong, caring, and resilient place for all who call it home.

I invite everyone to join me in giving generously this year. Together, we can create lasting change and continue building a brighter future for Southeast Alaska.

With gratitude,
